Sometimes I may be having a debate about politics and how the economics of America has became so bad. Then someone listening in on the conversation would come by and say just leave it alone. You can't change the situation no matter how much you argue about it.

Do you think because someone can't change a situation in their country that they should make more use of their time by not sitting around and debating the issues?

Well, just in case you were wondering on this day the debate was about the question on whether some Americans should sell annuity for upfront cash and do away with guaranteed payments.

My perspective was to sell only if you had adequate investment experience to manage and invest the lump sum. My friend was like its their money they should do what ever they want with it. You only have one life to live.

Thats when the debate started. I believe a mentality like that is what got America in this economic situation. You can probably guess what he said after that.
